Why do we all listen to music? As far as I know, it's not a feeling like, for example, love. We just listen to music.
I can't find a good explanation anywhere

Nice beat.
Bored.
Just need something to listen to.
Void out the rest of your surrondings.
Don't have to listen to certain people.

I would say the main reasons are:

We have different reactions to different sounds...often music can relax us and make us feel calm.
Listening to music can block out your surroundings, and make you less aware of where you are and what is happening.
To draw your mind away from thinking about things you might not want to think about.
To fit into groups to be 'cool', or even to show others you have your own 'style'.
